How do I remove a CD that is stuck in my car stereo?

I tried playing a CD that I’d burned, and it wouldn’t play, and now won’t come out of the car stereo (the radio still works). The car is a 2002 Chevy.

It depends on the brand but this often happens with burned CD’s. With my brand, what you have to turn the stereo off and then turn the car off for a few seconds. While the car is off, hold the power and the eject button in at the same time. The stereo should spit out the CD. If not, then try it with car turned on. You have to hold the power and eject button in for at least 5 seconds.

Hopefully there is a pinhole somewhere on the face of the CD player. Pushing a paperclip in this hole should force the mechanism to eject the CD.
go to repair shop . ask dealer where.
stick a credit card in to the cd player while still holding it on….it should help get it out….it has worked for me….just don’t shove the whole credit card in the player….i don’t remeber if you have to hit eject when the card is in the player or not. hope it works!
sometimes you can unplug the radio and it will reset the radio and eject it. i have also used a flat piece of plastic like a credit card and hit eject button while doing this. to eject it but you have to be careful you just want to hep th ejecting mechanism raise a little so it will eject your cd when u start to feel it move the card back out or the cd will go back if you bump it. dont know if this will help you hopefully it will. its worked several times for me.
What happens is the stupid little rubber wheels that it uses to push the CD out are not getting traction on the CD. Try a pair of tweezers. Push the eject button, and pull it out with the tweezers. I have done it countless times.

Since standing the car on its rear bumper and shaking it is out of the question try the following. Try to put another one in and sometimes the extra thickness kicks the wheels into gear and it spits out the first one. You can accomplish it by inserting a credit card or something like that as well. If all else fails try tweezers but you may scratch the CD or break a gear inside.
